With his leg Nestor Quirino managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Tomb Raider FC's Pedro Luiz Cordeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 21 minutes, Falcão de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tomb Raider FC and the América-SC F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabi Gol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nestor Quirino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Nestor Quirino was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Váldson Palmeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Váldson Palmeira really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. América-SC F.C. made a substitution. Kobe Haaland replaced Eliézer Azevedo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Pedro Luiz Cordeiro made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Constantijn Schoovaerts made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. América-SC F.C.'s Nestor Quirino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nestor Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Esteves in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Constantijn Schoovaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo dos Santos got free with João Pedro Meirelles in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. América-SC F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elder Domingues in the 79th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tomb Raider FC's goalie and right to Abel Mattos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tomb Raider FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Nestor Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balthazar Minnen in the 82nd minute of play. Nestor Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balthazar Minnen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Pedro Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kobe Haaland in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Balthazar Minnen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Elder Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Meirelles having to interfere.
