But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Hendrickx couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the Valle Saron defense, Nicanor Illan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Saron. The Valle Saron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Saron should have stopped the shot. Pilar FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
