Albino Galeno started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Zamboni EC booed when Albuna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Adrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paulinho Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8thth minute of the game Paulinho Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albuna FC's Ramon Montae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Carlos Eduardo Berger notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Albuna FC's Ramon Montae. Ramon Montae was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flávio de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Montae having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulinho Paraibano in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Montae saved Albuna FC from getting behind. Severino Luzea made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zamboni EC's Chico Machado. Ramon Montae stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulinho Paraibano's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute Paulinho Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Montae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ramón de Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Montae was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Flávio de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Zamboni EC's Paulinho Paraibano in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Patricio Sergi ran back to his position shaking his head. Zamboni EC's Percival Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Adrio in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulinho Paraibano was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Berger got free with Ramon Montae in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Narciso Johans struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Percival Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albuna FC. Albuna FC's Ramon Montae proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Albuna FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Mikeldi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59th match minute, Zamboni EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón de Lara to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Albuna FC's Narciso Johans got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes in the game, Flávio de Brito fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ramon Montae having to interfere. Ramon Montae was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulinho Paraibano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 64 minute of play. Percival Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Adrio in the 70th minute of play. Paulinho Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zamboni EC's Paulinho Paraibano in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
