After a rather tough play, Foothills United's Léandre Hétu got a free kick in the 11th minute. Jan Sweet didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gimnastico F.C.'s Pere Reina shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Laurgain Santiago kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Léandre Hétu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezker Macia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezker Macia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valéry Lange in the 25th minute of play. Pere Reina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Sweet having to make a save. If Boni Blazquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Foothills United's goalkeeper Jan Sweet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Echeto. 34 minutes into the game, Léandre Hétu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ezker Macia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jan Sweet made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Pere Reina sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Foothills United's zone, Boni Blazquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Sweet came out of the goal and Boni Blazquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valéry Lange to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Boyce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kiko Sarro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. A collision led to Gimnastico F.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Kiko Sarro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valéry Lange in the 56th minute of play forced Gimnastico F.C.'s goalkeeper Ezker Macia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezker Macia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valéry Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Hervé Sutton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezker Macia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. If Vito Echeto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezker Macia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Boyce in the 71st minute of the match. Gimnastico F.C.'s Ezker Macia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richie Esparza in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Gimnastico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valéry Lange came free, but Ezker Macia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Foothills United booed when Gimnastico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boni Blazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnastico F.C.'s zone, Léandre Hétu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezker Macia came out of the goal and Léandre Hétu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Foothills United's Léandre Hétu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ezker Macia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Thanks to some nice moves Léandre Hétu could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Ezker Macia however easily saved by the left post. 82 minutes into the game, Dalmai Ballesteros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimnastico F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Foothills United the free kick. After 84th play minutes Léandre Hétu shot 3-4, a short shot which went by Ezker Macia and just under the crossbar into goal. If Léandre Hétu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pere Reina in the 91st minute of play forced Foothills United's goalkeeper Jan Sweet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Foothills United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
