In the 10th minute Bruno Soveral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sture Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bajen's Ian Erserman got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu got control of the ball when Bernardo Caballero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurențiu Gaciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Porto to make the kick off. Laurențiu Gaciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Porto in the 51st minute of the match. Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Caballero in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Porto in the 53rd minute of play forced Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sture Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Soveral in the 54th minute of play. Laurențiu Gaciu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Exército Português's Aybar Hasret was substituted for Feliks Maurycy. In the 75th minute, Bernardo Caballero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Armando Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exército Português's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sture Abrahamsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurențiu Gaciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Johansson in the 79th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Atauri. Aybar Hasret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johan Johansson took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurențiu Gaciu. Laurențiu Gaciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Laurențiu Gaciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicklas Trøjgaard in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Caballero in the 91st minute of play forced Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
