Venancio Idacio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emirhan Canel. Velez Capo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gaston Iraitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Katia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 44 minutes, Rolando Teofilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ogilvie and the Velez Capo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Rolando Teofilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emirhan Canel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Jerano in the 46th minute of play. Gaston Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nestor Katia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adan Rolado to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Delmar Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ogilvie's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Jerano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emirhan Canel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adan Rolado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emirhan Canel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Capo's zone, Delmar Jerano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emirhan Canel came out of the goal and Delmar Jerano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Patryk Kochanowicz came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Velez Capo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patryk Kochanowicz couldn't finish the play. Patryk Kochanowicz struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Nestor Katia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Capo. Nestor Katia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patryk Kochanowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Delmar Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ogilvie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Jerano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
