With a little luck, Atlético Capixaba's Marcelo Brito got control of the ball when Abelardo Bernabel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Centeno booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Atlético Capixaba defense, Dariusz Adamski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Brito. The Atlético Capixaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Brito should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Toro Halland made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Brito. Atlético Capixaba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Abelardo Bernabel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Marcelo Brito made a huge save. Marcelo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Adamski in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Centeno got a corner. Atlético Capixaba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abelardo Bernabel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Centeno's Dariusz Adamski to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Brito despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Abelardo Bernabel might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Bernabel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Centeno's Dariusz Adamski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelo Brito. Marcelo Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Marcelo Brito was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Hakan Kaan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hakan Kaan really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. Marcelo Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abelardo Bernabel went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Marcelo Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dariusz Adamski went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Centeno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. 63 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Bernabel came free, but Marcelo Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Centeno's Hakan Kaan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Abelardo Bernabel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Fernandinho França got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Centeno's Dariusz Adamski made it 15-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there!
