In the 21st minute Holin Probohudono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico Hendrickx took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Apolo Rius. Latocayteva F.C.'s Apolo Rius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yonas Sutrisna in the 33rd minute of play. PHOENIX SC's Yonas Sutrisna got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Misael Darroja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Latocayteva F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Misael Darroja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Latocayteva F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Hendrickx came free, but Apolo Rius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Misael Darroja made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Tony Soprano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 58th minute of play forced Latocayteva F.C.'s goalkeeper Apolo Rius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
