The supporters of SleddKnicks IF booed when Merengue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxi Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, SleddKnicks IF's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Jago came free, but Otto Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Merengue FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Merengue FC's Domingo Jago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Ekain in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, SleddKnicks IF's goalkeeper Otto Smitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Banaszak. 17 minutes into the match, SleddKnicks IF's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Jago came free, but Otto Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Herman Högman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Merengue FC's Roland Banaszak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otto Smitt. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Otto Smitt made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Roland Banaszak sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Ekain in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Llorienzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otto Smitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Jago, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Herman Högman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Llorienzo was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Darwin Núñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Smitt having to interfere. Domingo Jago kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Darwin Núñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otto Smitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darwin Núñez in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Ekain made a kick off. Darwin Núñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Otto Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 52 minutes, Petter Jönsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SleddKnicks IF and the Merengue FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 54 minutes into the game, Roland Banaszak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Otto Smitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Mateo Llorienzo managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when SleddKnicks IF's Fausto Ekain fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Otto Smitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darwin Núñez in the 63rd minute of the match. Raimundo Gonsalvo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Roland Banaszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes, Hans Dalgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SleddKnicks IF and the Merengue FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute Domingo Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Merengue FC fully deserved thier win.
