Geovani Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christopher Langford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovani Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Christopher Langford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A hard shot 25 in the game by Gabriel-Omar Bati from a close distance when the talented Vicente Guimarães managed to make a qualified save. E. C. Uruguaiana's players were relieved. Uruguaiana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maicon Palmeira couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel-Omar Bati was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Guimarães came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Couto Mixto F.C.'s Gabriel-Omar Bati. But to his dismay, Gabriel-Omar Bati quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. E. C. Uruguaiana's Nando Lopez was substituted for Valdemar da Cunha. 61 minutes into the match, E. C. Uruguaiana's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Bati came free, but Vicente Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Couto Mixto F.C. defense, Lei Bin Kuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Langford. The Couto Mixto F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Langford should have stopped the shot. Maicon Palmeira took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christopher Langford. Christopher Langford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Couto Mixto F.C. made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dávid Szabó in the 78th minute of play forced E. C. Uruguaiana's goalkeeper Vicente Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Couto Mixto F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabri Veiga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 83rd minute of play forced Couto Mixto F.C.'s goalkeeper Christopher Langford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Couto Mixto F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Blain. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
