The audience was convinced that Gabriel-Omar Bati's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Guimarães was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, Maicon Palmeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christopher Langford. Uruguaiana's Vicente Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save E. C. Uruguaiana from getting a goal against them. When Felix Morales fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Couto Mixto F.C.'s protests and gave Felix Morales a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Couto Mixto F.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Felix Morales hit a great ball. Vicente Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel-Omar Bati in the 22nd minute of the match. Christopher Langford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maicon Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel-Omar Bati in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Guimarães saved E. C. Uruguaiana from getting behind. Christopher Langford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Palmeira in the 28th minute of the match. Gabri Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. E. C. Uruguaiana's Vicente Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel-Omar Bati in the 42nd minute of play. After 42 played minutes E. C. Uruguaiana got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Palmeira. The long shot by Felix Morales in the 43rd minute really tested Vicente Guimarães's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 44 minutes, Gabri Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Couto Mixto F.C. and the E. C. Uruguaiana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Couto Mixto F.C.'s Gabri Veiga got a free kick in the 44th minute. The supporters of E. C. Uruguaiana booed when Couto Mixto F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Truylos Castellano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovani Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 95th minute, Maicon Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christopher Langford was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The E. C. Uruguaiana supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing E. C. Uruguaiana would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
