Steve Gerrard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Vintilă Murgu made a huge save. Scott Martindale made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hahay's Wágner de Amorim. Vintilă Murgu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steve Gerrard's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The Huns were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Hahay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicholas Ramachandran took the corner. 28 minutes into the game, The Huns's Ronan McCunn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hahay's Edgar Smuskiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronan McCunn in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steve Gerrard to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Smuskiewicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hahay's Gilbert Zajac was substituted for Wágner de Amorim. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hahay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicholas Ramachandran was slow to take the kick. During this time The Huns's players had a chance to rest. Edgar Smuskiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronan McCunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The Huns's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicholas Ramachandran in the 84th minute. In the 89th match minute, The Huns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Martindale to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Smuskiewicz was a little too slow when Ronan McCunn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-5. The Huns's Vintilă Murgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Berenguer in the 95th minute of play. The Huns played a much better game than Hahay and deserved their victory. The Hahay players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
