Toby Grainger made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Luciano Sadurni sent off a good shot on target. Santos Vigil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Arrowsmith in the 21st minute of the match. When Quentin Paine fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dakar SC's protests and gave Quentin Paine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Dakar SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Paine to maneuver through the defense. Dakar SC's Toby Grainger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Dakar SC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Frisia AFC defense, Rhys Colley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Vigil. The Frisia AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Vigil should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Efraim in the 45th minute of play forced Dakar SC's goalkeeper Toby Grainger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Frisia AFC's Ricardo Endura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Toby Grainger. That made the score 2-1 after 47 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
