Greenbay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gong Peng Bo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 24 minutes, Mesut Özil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenbay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mesut Özil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute of the match La Academia got a corner. Greenbay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maxín Bacarreza ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Maxín Bacarreza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eugen Remus quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyler Morton in the 28th minute of play. Eugen Remus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robby Woody in the 29th minute. Eugen Remus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Alberto Zañartu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. La Academia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maxín Bacarreza in the 34th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Robby Woody put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eugen Remus. Francisco Alberto Zañartu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Gong Peng Bo made a precise shot to the right of Eugen Remus. Greenbay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robby Woody to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robby Woody in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Remus saved Greenbay from getting behind. La Academia were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Greenbay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maxín Bacarreza took the corner. A collision led to Greenbay getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Romeo Morrell hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Alberto Zañartu came free, but Eugen Remus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Eric Sillén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Alberto Zañartu kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A hard shot 79 in the game by Will Alderson from a close distance when the talented Iwan Grocholski managed to make a qualified save. La Academia's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La Academia had won after a very even match.
