The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paolo Caradaro scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eleuterio Aztore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paolo Caradaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Eleuterio Aztore made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Eleuterio Aztore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Caradaro. In the 13th minute, Basilio Demario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Isidro Ourente fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monte Hermoso Beach's protests and gave Isidro Ourente a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Monte Hermoso Beach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Ourente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Remigio Erramu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Monte Hermoso Beach. Eleuterio Aztore was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Benigno Abreu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benigno Abreu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Eleuterio Aztore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monte Hermoso Beach's Eleuterio Aztore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Abreu in the 25th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Paolo Caradaro made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eleuterio Aztore was left in no man's land by his defense there! Monte Hermoso Beach's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Paolo Caradaro scored to the left of an out of position Eleuterio Aztore, making the score, 5-1. Eustaquio Jaizki's late challenge caught a Monte Hermoso Beach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Jaizki helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Eustaquio Jaizki hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Monte Hermoso Beach's Damian Napier got a free kick in the 84th minute. Eleuterio Aztore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Erramu in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Paolo Caradaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eleuterio Aztore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Club Atlético Atlanta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
