Idalécio Carrasqueira made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Sven-Edvin Jansson sent off a good shot on target. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belchior Ribeiro in the 17th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Belchior Ribeiro came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belchior Ribeiro in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Campelo in the 27th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Zico Zellier fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Idalécio Carrasqueira, passed just outside the right post. SC Atabueira's attentive Reinaldo Veríssimo managed to snatch the ball when Angel Alvarenga made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sven-Edvin Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. GuateFortín's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Idalécio Carrasqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Edvin Jansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odín Wallffiguer in the 63rd minute. Zico Zellier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idalécio Carrasqueira having to interfere. GuateFortín made a substitution. Elias Pagomari replaced Stanyo Búnkov. Idalécio Carrasqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 74th minute of the match. Idalécio Carrasqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Odín Wallffiguer notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sven-Edvin Jansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 86th minute of play forced SC Atabueira's goalkeeper Idalécio Carrasqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Josué Campelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, GuateFortín's Pablo Mora seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pablo Mora the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GuateFortín protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pablo Mora had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. SC Atabueira made a substitution. Adriano Baião replaced Odín Wallffiguer. 92 minutes into the game, one of GuateFortín:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Although GuateFortín had been in control for most of the match, SC Atabueira still came away with the win.
