Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Hudák in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Hrdina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after AFK Petržalka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zhuo Bo Bo took the corner. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save AFK Petržalka from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Todd Gronow was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Gronow in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Hrdina saved AFK Petržalka from getting behind. In the 57th minute Todd Gronow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AFK Petržalka's zone, Ildefonso Foro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Hrdina came out of the goal and Ildefonso Foro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Todd Gronow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Hrdina was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 68 played minutes Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Nafarroa. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Andreas Harlén replaced Ildefonso Foro. Zhuo Bo Bo was slow to take the kick. During this time Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Zhuo Bo Bo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina did a great save. Adam Hrdina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Todd Gronow went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žigmund Csontos in the 86th minute of play. If Žigmund Csontos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariusz Ratulowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Hrdina having to make a save.
