The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Richard Textex showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gery Burhanuddin, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Newpi Academy's Alberto Tonete dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Otsando in the 13th minute of play forced SV Klingsmoos's goalkeeper Berthold Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute SV Klingsmoos were awarded a corner. Ghitã Pârlea went to the cornerflag to take it. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gery Burhanuddin in the 25th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Berthold Bach successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Richard Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gery Burhanuddin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berthold Bach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Richard Textex came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Klingsmoos's Gery Burhanuddin. But to his dismay, Gery Burhanuddin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Peter Boehme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gery Burhanuddin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Richard Textex made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Richard Textex successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Richard Textex came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Klingsmoos's Vicente Bejarano. But to his dismay, Vicente Bejarano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After having played for 90 minutes, Gery Burhanuddin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Klingsmoos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gery Burhanuddin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luizão Mazza hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. SV Klingsmoos made a substitution. Erik Amend replaced Luizão Mazza. After 94 played minutes SV Klingsmoos got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Mazza. In the 96th minute Alberto Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berthold Bach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
