When Marcial Zuazna came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Atletico Maturrango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Zuazna couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Florencio Herbella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Maturrango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Baykal Yanal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Weather Piedrahita was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 25th minute Florencio Herbella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çetin Gürgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yiğit Ömer in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Florencio Herbella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Çetin Gürgan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cordara Baracaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Atletico Maturrango's Florencio Herbella got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florencio Herbella made a kick off. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Primo Valcarcel hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Weather Piedrahita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baykal Yanal. In the 55th match minute, 19☆GÖZTEPE☆25 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Bozer to maneuver through the defense. Çetin Gürgan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Herbella went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Rauf Cesman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Weather Piedrahita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikša Posavec, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Çetin Gürgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Herbella in the 73rd minute of play. After some careless play in the 19☆GÖZTEPE☆25 defense, Florencio Herbella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Çetin Gürgan. The 19☆GÖZTEPE☆25 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Çetin Gürgan should have stopped the shot. Atletico Maturrango made a substitution. Orlin Hinojosa replaced Lucas Sardaneta. After a defensive mix-up in 19☆GÖZTEPE☆25's zone, Ederono Ojero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çetin Gürgan came out of the goal and Ederono Ojero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ederono Ojero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, 19☆GÖZTEPE☆25's goal looked a bit too open when Ederono Ojero came free, but Çetin Gürgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Maturrango's zone, Güntekin Saru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Weather Piedrahita came out of the goal and Güntekin Saru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atletico Maturrango's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
