Dogelo's Võ Gozali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Isac in the 6th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alfredinho Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Võ Gozali was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Donato Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Leal. SORRISO E. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Kiko Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Donato Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Edvaldo Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dogelo. Edvaldo Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Nogueira in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dogelo's Hortêncio Messias got a free kick in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dogelo's zone, Alfredinho Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Võ Gozali came out of the goal and Alfredinho Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvaldo Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Edvaldo Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Gaúcho in the 36th minute of play. SORRISO E. C.'s Edvaldo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Nogueira in the 39th minute of play. Võ Gozali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Võ Gozali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kacper Sroka in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alfredinho Freitas made the kick off in the second half. In the 57thth minute of the game Donato Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SORRISO E. C.'s Edvaldo Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Dogelo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Felippe da Cunha hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, Dogelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Kiko Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dogelo the free kick. In the 69th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Souza to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the SORRISO E. C. defense, Donato Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvaldo Leal. The SORRISO E. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvaldo Leal should have stopped the shot. Gino Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. C.'s goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
