When Kaká Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the AF CERRADO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaká Goiano couldn't finish the play. If Dorival do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Pedro Cearense got a free kick in the 18th minute. When AF CERRADO's Didi Gaúcho in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Renatinho Leal scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Miguel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Futbol Club RRFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Miguel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Goiano in the 53rd minute of the match. Pedro Cearense lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in AF CERRADO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Guilherme Mesquita got free with José Augusto de Godoi in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorival do Vale. 87 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Leal came free, but Fernando Miguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Augusto de Godoi was a little too slow when Carlos Alberto de Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 3-2.
