In the 12th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Vander to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Frank Scarcella notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Rafael Abreu. Rafael Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 16 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Scarcella came free, but Rafael Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jovens Democratas MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marquês de Herval the free kick. In the 20th minute, Giuseppe Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Marcus Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Abel Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murillo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Bastos in the 30th minute of the match. Murillo Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Abel Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Abreu. Marquês de Herval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 47 minutes into the game, Jovens Democratas MZC's Frank Scarcella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

When Giuseppe Negri came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Jovens Democratas MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Negri couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Frank Scarcella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. After 79 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo de Godoi came free, but Rafael Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Britto in the 87th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Rafael Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Britto took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Abreu. Rafael Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. Rafael Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo de Godoi in the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo de Godoi in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Abreu saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Jeremias Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erasmo de Godoi went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Jovens Democratas MZC were the better team. Jovens Democratas MZC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
