The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cui Nan Yang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Scarcella in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Henrique Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes of play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Ronaldinho Gaucho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dudu Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Murillo Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abel Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo de Godoi in the 21st minute of play forced ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goalkeeper Gustavo Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Henrique Paiva hit a great ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Murillo Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mário de Queirós was slow to take the kick. During this time Jovens Democratas MZC's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Erasmo de Godoi got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 29 minutes into the match. Abel Dracena hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Frank Scarcella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo de Godoi in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Aparecido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36thth minute of the game Erasmo de Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Gustavo Aparecido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murillo Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gaucho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho got control of the ball when Ronaldinho Gaucho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Henrique Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Berger was the one to do the kick off. Erasmo de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jovens Democratas MZC's zone, Dudu Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Pinho came out of the goal and Dudu Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Scarcella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Gustavo Aparecido made a huge save. In the 57th minute of the match Jovens Democratas MZC got a corner. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mário de Queirós ran over to the corner to take the kick. Erasmo de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Murillo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Gaucho in the 62nd minute of the match. Murillo Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70thth minute of the game Ronaldinho Gaucho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mexhit Koçi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Jeremias Britto replaced Mário de Queirós. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ made a substitution. Ronaldinho Gaucho scored 2-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Murillo Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 92 played minutes ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Paes. Emil Mjølner hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Negri in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo Aparecido, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 97th minute, Miguel Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jovens Democratas MZC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙.
