The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Faria got free with Milosz Kluska in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Tribos fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Tribos's Marcello Lewandowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Marcello Lewandowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Milosz Kluska was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Gigi Riva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin van der Saar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 24 played minutes Tribos got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Faria. Edvin van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo de Castro in the 25th minute of play. The Estrela Solitária fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milosz Kluska should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Proença to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcello Lewandowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cristiano Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milosz Kluska was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 73 minutes Estrela Solitária's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedrinho Figueiredo who took care of the corner kick. Marcello Lewandowski took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Milosz Kluska. Tribos's Marcello Lewandowski got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
