Pedro Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Latkiewicz in the 13th minute of the match. After 14 minutes, Ulryk Podolski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1909 Tarnovia and the Stellenbosch players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Osvaldo Bernat took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Maksymilian Prusinowski to make any attempt to save it. Osvaldo Bernat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maksymilian Prusinowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Bernat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Maksymilian Prusinowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1909 Tarnovia! 1909 Tarnovia:s Maksymilian Prusinowski showed great skill when he stopped Jesus Ofelio:s penalty. Barnaba Latkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maksymilian Prusinowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Mingo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Juan Fernando Quinteros. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Bernat was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Mingo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maksymilian Prusinowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Stellenbosch booed when 1909 Tarnovia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerzy Grocholski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maksymilian Prusinowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Bernat went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo was substituted for Osvaldo Bernat. Stellenbosch's Luca Savini was substituted for Severo Mingo. Karol Pisarcik charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karol Pisarcik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Karol Pisarcik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maksymilian Prusinowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flóki Cabezudo in the 67th minute of play. Maksymilian Prusinowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flóki Cabezudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Pedro Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerzy Grocholski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0.
