Sheriff's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diguinho Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Yahia van der Saar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Set Master in the 8th minute. Hílton Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thodoris Tassoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Gol came free, but Hílton Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Cordone kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Samúel Mane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Yahia van der Saar made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Atlético da Colina's Samúel Mane dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Hílton Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Gol in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Clayton Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clayton Gol took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Dias. Hílton Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 29 minutes into the game, Diguinho Souza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yahia van der Saar. Diguinho Souza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Set Master could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Yahia van der Saar made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Set Master. Clayton Gol scored 3-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hílton Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's Diguinho Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yahia van der Saar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Souza in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Clayton Gol had several of the Atlético da Colina's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-3 score and a disappointed Hílton Dias as he didn't even see the shot coming. Yahia van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Souza in the 61st minute of the match. Yahia van der Saar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Souza's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's goalkeeper Hílton Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sancho Denner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Gol in the 76th minute of play forced Atlético da Colina's goalkeeper Hílton Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yahia van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Set Master, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goal looked a bit too open when David Paranaense came free, but Yahia van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Atlético da Colina's David Paranaense made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yahia van der Saar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético da Colina made a substitution. Lucas Moura replaced Cristiano Carrasqueira. Sheriff made a substitution.
