The long shot by Artaç Yavuzalp in the 14th minute really tested Luisito Quinten's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valko De Hond in the 23rd minute of play. Evelio Milian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Remigio in the 25th minute of play. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Buinton in the 30th minute of play. Basilio Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jarana FC's Bartolo Buinton got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joop Deswarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisito Quinten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Yang Yao Kuan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lyons's Marcos Berasko quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Jarana FC booed when Lyons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jarana FC made a substitution. Li Sen Ling replaced Yang Yao Kuan. Lyons made a substitution. Stig Åkerberg replaced Boleslaw Zielinski. Lyons made a substitution. Aurelio Vasco replaced Cesar Remigio. Jarana FC's Fernando Cavenaghi was substituted for Honorio Hunfredo. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Cavenaghi in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Buinton came free, but Luisito Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fernando Cavenaghi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Lyons's Dariusz Roano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evelio Milian. Evelio Milian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 92nd minute, Lyons's Dariusz Roano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Gitano in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisito Quinten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dariusz Roano struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Evelio Milian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyons.
