The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 16 played minutes Ballet Azul got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Dombrowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boldizsár Szabados in the 17th minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Újlõrincfalva LC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Ballet Azul's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Máté Bíró took the corner. In the 24th minute, Dénes Kenesei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by René Puente in the 32nd minute of play forced Újlõrincfalva LC's goalkeeper Illés Kiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábián Müller who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of José Luis Chilavert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Újlõrincfalva LC's goal looked a bit too open when Esequiel Dohrmann came free, but Illés Kiss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballet Azul's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Waclaw Dombrowski in the 40th minute. If René Puente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richárd Dárdai charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richárd Dárdai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Richárd Dárdai hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boldizsár Szabados was the one to do the kick off. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richárd Dárdai in the 53rd minute of play. Illés Kiss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eladio Ulloa's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Fábián Müller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. José Luis Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Újlõrincfalva LC's Illés Kiss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Újlõrincfalva LC from getting a goal against them. Eulalio Callejas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, René Puente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballet Azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boldizsár Szabados, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Újlõrincfalva LC's goalkeeper Illés Kiss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eulalio Callejas. Újlõrincfalva LC's Illés Kiss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Újlõrincfalva LC from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute of the match Újlõrincfalva LC got a corner. Ballet Azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Máté Bíró ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Máté Bíró almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert did a great save. Illés Kiss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odín Enríquez in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute René Puente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illés Kiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballet Azul's Eladio Ulloa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Illés Kiss. That made the score 0-2 after 91 minutes of play.
