Carmine Iannone scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Monge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Di Renzo in the 11th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Ernesto Monge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Barrantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Lavatrice having to interfere. Though ot was a great shot Molfetta sportiva's keeper Flavio Lavatrice was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Molfetta sportiva's Flavio Lavatrice proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Molfetta sportiva from getting a goal against them. Flavio Lavatrice made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Agustin Barrantes sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Carmine Iannone put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ernesto Monge. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Barrantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Miguel Volio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molfetta sportiva's Flavio Lavatrice was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Carballo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Lavatrice saved Molfetta sportiva from getting behind. When the match was over Molfetta sportiva could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CS La Libertad throughout the match.
