Viktors Behmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolay Bonkov having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olavs Eliass. Fitz Lambley scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genaro Ponciano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Şanver Enginer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavs Eliass's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nikolay Bonkov firmly grabbed it by the left post. Genaro Ponciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justin Collingwood in the 29th minute of play. With his leg Nikolay Bonkov managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when FC Iecēni's Olavs Eliass fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Genaro Ponciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Hanley in the 37th minute of play. Noel Broom's late challenge caught a FC Iecēni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noel Broom helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Garlic Eaters got a freekick which was hit by Noel Broom. Olavs Eliass in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nikolay Bonkov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, FC Iecēni's Uvis Svitiņš got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Jasper Attwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Ponciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, FC Iecēni's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Hanley came free, but Genaro Ponciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Viesturs Pilāns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marek Hamšík stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Olavs Eliass ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikolay Bonkov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Genaro Ponciano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fitz Lambley in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes FC Iecēni's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pavol Stano who took care of the corner kick. Genaro Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Attwood in the 64th minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, FC Iecēni's Olavs Eliass made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikolay Bonkov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Genaro Ponciano came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Garlic Eaters's Tommy Hanley. But to his dismay, Tommy Hanley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute Jasper Attwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Ponciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Antony Best hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikolay Bonkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viesturs Pilāns in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Olavs Eliass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolay Bonkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktors Behmans kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
