Roman Vachon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Firmo in the 3rd minute. When Menchu FC's Gaston Firmo, in the 5th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. With a little luck, Manfredi AFC's Roman Vachon got control of the ball when Carlos Campelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Gabriele Batistuta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Roman Vachon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes Manfredi AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frédéric Chopin who took care of the corner kick. Menchu FC's Frédéric Chopin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roman Vachon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Roman Vachon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Roman Vachon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Remir in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 35th minute of play forced Manfredi AFC's goalkeeper Roman Vachon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Filomeno Remir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes in the game Silverio Sergi did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Caetano Linhares. Attilio Martorella charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Attilio Martorella the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Manfredi AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Attilio Martorella hit a great ball. Primitivo Rocendo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Filomeno Remir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Camilo Salvidor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Filomeno Remir made the kick off in the second half. Roman Vachon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Cocca hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Manfredi AFC's Ronald Ferenc was substituted for Attilio Martorella. Manfredi AFC's Son Banana was substituted for Filomeno Remir. In the 63rd match minute, Manfredi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Cocca to maneuver through the defense. When Gabriele Batistuta fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menchu FC's protests and gave Gabriele Batistuta a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriele Batistuta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 67th minute of play forced Manfredi AFC's goalkeeper Roman Vachon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfredi AFC's Roman Vachon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 69th minute of play. Abdoulay Doucouré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Vachon having to interfere. A collision led to Manfredi AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Steffen Krummwiede hit a great ball. Leonel Karlo took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Vachon. Roman Vachon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 79 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Steffen Krummwiede. In the 79th minute of the match Frédéric Chopin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Vachon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Leonel Karlo sped through Manfredi AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roman Vachon. 85 minutes into the match, Manfredi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Roman Vachon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menchu FC's Peter Söderqwist was substituted for Abdoulay Doucouré. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriele Batistuta in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Vachon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonel Karlo scored 5-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roman Vachon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Manfredi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Son Banana didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Manfredi AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Menchu FC.
