Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Remir in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Salvidor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Remir in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Peter Söderqwist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Gabriele Batistuta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roman Vachon. Gabriele Batistuta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Manfredi AFC's goalkeeper Roman Vachon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano Linhares. In the 25th minute, Filomeno Remir made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Salvidor. Menchu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Martorella, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Menchu FC defense, Attilio Martorella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Salvidor. The Menchu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Salvidor should have stopped the shot. Filomeno Remir might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Salvidor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filomeno Remir ran back to his position shaking his head. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Remir in the 31st minute of play. Makis Antoniadis kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Manfredi AFC's Roman Vachon got control of the ball when Abdoulay Doucouré tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When Abdoulay Doucouré fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menchu FC's protests and gave Abdoulay Doucouré a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Menchu FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Abdoulay Doucouré hit a great ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Attilio Martorella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manfredi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Martorella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manfredi AFC's Ronald Ferenc was substituted for Attilio Martorella. Roman Vachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Son Banana in the 68th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Mannie in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Salvidor saved Menchu FC from getting behind.
