A collision led to T H F C getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Daniel Gillow hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Francisco Alberto Zañartu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Bush saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Gong Peng Bo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Bush saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Donny Beckwith came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, John-Paul Lumbergs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John-Paul Lumbergs during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for T H F C! The referee gave La Academia a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Robby Woody, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of T H F C's Luke Bush. 0-1. After 26 minutes of play, La Academia's Robby Woody made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luke Bush was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, T H F C's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Alberto Zañartu came free, but Luke Bush reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Donny Beckwith came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The T H F C fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when T H F C's Franz Midgley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robby Woody in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luke Bush prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robby Woody recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Midgley in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franz Midgley in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Grocholski saved La Academia from getting behind. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by T H F C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maxín Bacarreza was slow to take the kick. During this time La Academia's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Gong Peng Bo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luke Bush took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Peng Bo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to T H F C getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ronan Sugden hit a great ball. T H F C made a substitution. Shawn Coulson replaced Donny Beckwith. T H F C made a substitution. Kristopher Cavanagh replaced Dave Hartley. The T H F C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Academia were winning 1-2.
57 minutes into the match, T H F C's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Alberto Zañartu came free, but Luke Bush reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Francisco Alberto Zañartu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luke Bush was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. La Academia made a substitution. Eric Sillén replaced Gong Peng Bo. The corner ended in Maxín Bacarreza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but T H F C's Luke Bush did a great save. After 66 played minutes La Academia got a freekick which was hit by Robby Woody. Luke Bush made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Robby Woody sent off a good shot on target. T H F C's Rowan Tyler was substituted for Matt Friend. The supporters of T H F C booed when La Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gafur Onat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes, T H F C's Daniel Gillow shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in T H F C reached it. Shawn Coulson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwan Grocholski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. When T H F C's Franz Midgley in 82 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Iwan Grocholski guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 85 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Coulson came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Robby Woody had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Franz Midgley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwan Grocholski was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Robby Woody blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luke Bush having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Academia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
