The corner led Dobrinja FC's Samantha Farhat to fire away a dangerous shot which Elpidio Vitin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Naike in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Farik Gagula saved Dobrinja FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Cristian Naike took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Farik Gagula to make any attempt to save it. Cristian Naike's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farik Gagula read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes Dobrinja FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santos Fonda who took care of the corner kick. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samantha Farhat, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Cristian Naike struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Farik Gagula didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vélez Juniors. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Dobrinja FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farik Gagula should have stopped the shot. Dobrinja FC made a substitution. Đorđe Rekibović replaced Mats De Ligt. In the 94th minute, Cristian Naike got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
