Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robert Ohlicher kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Robert Ohlicher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportfreunde Laubendorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Atalanta booed when Sportfreunde Laubendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Wachtmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alessandro Pellegrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Ohlicher, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Erko Kranz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Selvaggi in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Eraldo Mercuri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Ohlicher in the 25th minute of play forced Atalanta's goalkeeper Alessandro Pellegrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Andi von Fraunhofen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alessandro Pellegrini quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 31 minutes, Paul Wachtmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportfreunde Laubendorf and the Atalanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sportfreunde Laubendorf getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Paul Wachtmann hit a great ball. Biagio Selvaggi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Erko Kranz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalanta. In the 36thth minute of the game Biagio Selvaggi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportfreunde Laubendorf's Erko Kranz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Ohlicher got free with Alessandro Pellegrini in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Biagio Selvaggi made a kick off. Jakob Rösch hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, one of Sportfreunde Laubendorf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sportfreunde Laubendorf. The corner led Atalanta's Anthony Tardelli to fire away a dangerous shot which Erko Kranz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Herbert Schmaltz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Abälard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Biagio Selvaggi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erko Kranz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Pari hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alessandro Pellegrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Wachtmann in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Andi von Fraunhofen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportfreunde Laubendorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Andi von Fraunhofen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Pellegrini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Wachtmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Joachim Abälard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alessandro Pellegrini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 98th minute, Biagio Selvaggi made a precise shot to the right of Erko Kranz. Sportfreunde Laubendorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Chants of Atalanta echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sportfreunde Laubendorf had held the ball for most of the match.
