William Doblas had several of the Fronteiro's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Willian Dias as he didn't even see the shot coming. 30 minutes into the match, Robinho Paranaense notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Deportivo La Coruna's Urbasa Camarasa. Urbasa Camarasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When William Doblas came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Deportivo La Coruna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Doblas couldn't finish the play. Willian Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Doblas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Paulo Netto made a kick off. Robinho Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Doblas in the 67th minute of the match. William Doblas might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willian Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Doblas ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 70 minutes, Colon Losada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo La Coruna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Colon Losada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renatinho Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Urbasa Camarasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that William Doblas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willian Dias was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Roger Gasso hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Álvaro França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbasa Camarasa having to interfere. Colon Losada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Fronteiro defense, Manuel Solera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Dias. The Fronteiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Dias should have stopped the shot. Urbasa Camarasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robinho Paranaense went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Deportivo La Coruna were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Fronteiro to leave the ground with a draw.
