Constantin Bodnar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Sandu Mincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11thth minute of the game Costică Zgârcu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berbi's Edgar Jianu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Costică Zgârcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Jianu. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. The supporters of Jeselnic booed when Berbi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Glăvan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Berbi got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Crăciun. Jeselnic's Gabriel Rogozanu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Berbi. Constantin Bodnar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Constantin Bodnar came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Berbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantin Bodnar couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Gelu Hurgoi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jeselnic's Sandu Mincu. Sandu Mincu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Jianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Zgârcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Berbi getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eliodor Glăvan hit a great ball. David Popean's late challenge caught a Jeselnic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Popean helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Berbi got a freekick which was hit by David Popean. Berbi's Aurelian Macavei suffered a sprained foot after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Corneliu Andrițoiu's late challenge caught a Berbi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corneliu Andrițoiu helped the player get up and apologised. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gelu Hurgoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alex Poenaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Gelu Hurgoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sandu Mincu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute, Gabriel Rogozanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th match minute, Berbi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Floroiu to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Jeselnic's Gabriel Rogozanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Alex Poenaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Berbi got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Hurmuzescu. When Jeselnic's Alex Poenaru in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Berbi's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Zgârcu in the 72nd minute of play forced Berbi's goalkeeper Edgar Jianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliodor Glăvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandu Mincu having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Jeselnic's Alex Poenaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Jianu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sandu Mincu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gelu Hurgoi in the 81st minute. The supporters of Berbi booed when Jeselnic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Schipor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Poenaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Jianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Zgârcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Costică Zgârcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeselnic's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Zgârcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Jianu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Jianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Poenaru in the 92nd minute of the match. Alex Poenaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Jianu having to interfere. The Berbi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Berbi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
