In the 9th minute Manuel Solera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Schjølberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urbasa Camarasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Bøe in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo La Coruna's zone, Ragnar Bøe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urbasa Camarasa came out of the goal and Ragnar Bøe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 played minutes Grunnfør FC got a freekick which was hit by Anton Kristiansen. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, William Doblas took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Raymond Schjølberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 28th minute, Tarjei Kolltveit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Deportivo La Coruna getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pere Aranzubia hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Grunnfør FC's Jan-Arne Dragland got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Raymond Schjølberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Solera in the 37th minute of play. If Anton Kristiansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Anton Kristiansen made the kick off in the second half. Urbasa Camarasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Haldorsen in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Preben Derås got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Anton Kristiansen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Solera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christoffer Schjerven hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Grunnfør FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inguma Rivera came free, but Raymond Schjølberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoffer Schjerven made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Deportivo La Coruna's Dolfo Torrent. Anton Kristiansen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Grunnfør FC's Preben Derås got a free kick in the 87th minute. Preben Derås could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Urbasa Camarasa made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
