The audience thought a goal was coming when Ediberto de Moraes got free with Mané Koehler in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mané Koehler made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ediberto de Moraes sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Gilvan Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Álvaro França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Costa in the 23rd minute of play forced Fronteiro's goalkeeper Willian Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Lago in the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Carandahy's zone, Ediberto de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Koehler came out of the goal and Ediberto de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 33 minutes of play, Carandahy's Gilvan Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willian Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Fronteiro's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Eger came free, but Willian Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Costa in the 39th minute of play forced Fronteiro's goalkeeper Willian Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. But to his dismay, Gilvan Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Álvaro França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mané Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 83 minutes, Cléberson Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carandahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fronteiro's Willian Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Fronteiro from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, Fronteiro's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Lago came free, but Willian Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Carandahy booed when Fronteiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fronteiro's Wágner Arce got a free kick in the 89th minute. Luiz Paulo Pires scored 0-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willian Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carandahy played a much better game than Fronteiro and deserved their victory. The Fronteiro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
