The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Codrin Birișu replaced Petruț Mircescu. Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Emanuel Herlea was substituted for Adan Umea. Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Franco Vázquez was substituted for Cristian Gallo. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Zawisza Bydgoszcz:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pinner Cluj-Napoca:s goal. The referee gave Pinner Cluj-Napoca a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ali Nurettin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec. 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
