An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 11th minute of play forced Naranja Mecanica FC's goalkeeper Urbano Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urbano Nerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Urbano Nerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grabiel Escorcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Grabiel Escorcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Grabiel Escorcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urbano Nerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the game, Everardo Santxol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Naranja Mecanica FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nacional the free kick. The supporters of Nacional booed when Naranja Mecanica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Santxol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juaneizu Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Bertran in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Naranja Mecanica FC got a corner. Nacional's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jeronimo Eate ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 24thth minute of the game Grabiel Escorcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Naranja Mecanica FC's Urbano Nerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 41 minutes, Grabiel Escorcia made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Naranja Mecanica FC's Urbano Nerio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Grabiel Escorcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Grabiel Escorcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Urbano Nerio made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Candido during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nacional's Walme Yurre was substituted for Mendiko Bueres. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grabiel Escorcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Naranja Mecanica FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nacional were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
