The corner ended in Xu Sha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma did a great save. Juaneizu Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afşar Uçuk in the 14th minute of the match. Blue Mountain State's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Afşar Uçuk in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Juaneizu Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Panasewicz came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Felipe Carballo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blue Mountain State the free kick. Felipe Carballo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Robin Sharma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 59 minutes into the game, Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juaneizu Merida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 62 minutes into the match, Karol Panasewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juaneizu Merida. Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karol Panasewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Nacional's Walme Yurre was substituted for Mendiko Bueres. In the 74th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Panasewicz came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Inverso. It was a well-played corner which Grabiel Escorcia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. George Popescu replaced Nicolas De la Cruz. 93 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacional's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
