Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulino Araoz started the match with the kick off. When Gorgory's Paulino Araoz in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Higinio Valiente who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Reynaldo Custódio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute of the match Gorgory got a corner. Bayer Leverkusen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dan Benet ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gorgory's Abel Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Burmeister in the 15th minute of play. When Bayer Leverkusen's Jens Burmeister in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jens Burmeister sped through Gorgory's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abel Orlan. Gorgory were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Bayer Leverkusen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dan Benet took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dan Benet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Reynaldo Custódio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Araoz in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Custódio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 25 minutes Bayer Leverkusen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dan Benet who took care of the corner kick. Gorgory's Gheorghe Ecobescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reynaldo Custódio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Abel Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Burmeister, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Higinio Valiente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Gorgory's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Sobbe came free, but Abel Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gorgory's Gheorghe Ecobescu got a free kick in the 37th minute. Alfons Bourgignon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abel Orlan. Gorgory's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Valiente got free with Reynaldo Custódio in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Schrader in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens Burmeister to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Abel Orlan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Higinio Valiente scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Custódio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rdth minute of the game Elroy Snijders who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bayer Leverkusen's Reynaldo Custódio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gorgory were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Bayer Leverkusen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dan Benet took the corner. Abel Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Schrader in the 69th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Gorgory's Elroy Snijders nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Custódio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Abel Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hank Schrader in the 75th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marinus Buhr during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bayer Leverkusen getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Marinus Buhr hit a great ball. Reynaldo Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elroy Snijders in the 77th minute of play. Elroy Snijders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Reynaldo Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Arevalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Custódio having to interfere. Gorgory's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Valiente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Custódio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gorgory's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
