In the 5th minute Fadhly Haryanto-Ie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Original Sabahan's goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Alonso came free, but Widodo Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Original Sabahan's Widodo Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Geeraerts in the 10th minute of play. Widodo Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Geeraerts in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute Jojo Guci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jojo Guci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vodka Stars 1949's Generoso Beloki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fadhly Haryanto-Ie in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Original Sabahan got a corner. Vodka Stars 1949's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dewa Kooth ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Micky Febrian managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 26 minutes into the match, Original Sabahan's goalkeeper Widodo Reza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Curcio Alonso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remir Martínez got free with Widodo Reza in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Generoso Beloki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jojo Guci, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Generoso Beloki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fadhly Haryanto-Ie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Original Sabahan's Widodo Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curcio Alonso in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Vodka Stars 1949's goal looked a bit too open when Joko Waluyo came free, but Generoso Beloki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateusz Kubica hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Curcio Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Vodka Stars 1949 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Curcio Alonso couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute Joko Waluyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joko Waluyo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joko Waluyo got free with Generoso Beloki in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Vodka Stars 1949's zone, Yahya Kılıçaslan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generoso Beloki came out of the goal and Yahya Kılıçaslan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yahya Kılıçaslan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Generoso Beloki came out and tried to block the shot, but Yahya Kılıçaslan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 83rd minute. Paul Geeraerts kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Yahya Kılıçaslan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Generoso Beloki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Yahya Kılıçaslan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Generoso Beloki, 0-3. 94 minutes into the match, Original Sabahan's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Batalla came free, but Widodo Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vodka Stars 1949 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Original Sabahan's performance. The match ended with a win for Original Sabahan.
