Jan Plocek went to the cornerflag to take it. El Gallo de Moron's attentive Gary Medel managed to snatch the ball when Gavin McConchy made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. Chico Pirok's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nacho Gonzalez firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Barcelona's Chico Pirok got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Luisinho Laguna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Gallo de Moron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Petr Kocek got a free kick in the 31st minute. Gavin McConchy hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Chico Pirok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Nacho Gonzalez made a huge save. Luisinho Laguna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dezider Šindelka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Chico Pirok left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisinho Laguna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan Plocek kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Pirok, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Andrej Karásek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Nacho Gonzalez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Barcelona's Anton Chlup was substituted for Petr Kocek. Luisinho Laguna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Andrej Karásek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nacho Gonzalez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrej Karásek in the 88th minute of play forced El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Barcelona fully deserved thier win.
