The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Baradero's John-Graham Lake sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Roberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 4th minute of the match Club Atlético Baradero got a corner. Villadeatese FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Bertran ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Baradero getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Virgilio Geofredo hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Baradero's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Gazza came free, but Augusto Corderall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 minutes Club Atlético Baradero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Maranhense who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Baradero getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jorge Lander hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Dino Gazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Corderall was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Baradero's Virgilio Geofredo got a free kick in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Villadeatese FC's goalkeeper Dino Roberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John-Graham Lake. Dino Gazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zabal Villanueva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Corderall having to make a save. Augusto Corderall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Gazza in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Villadeatese FC's Dino Gazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Corderall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zabal Villanueva scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Corderall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Baradero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Maranhense was slow to take the kick. During this time Villadeatese FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Maranhense got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Augusto Corderall quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John-Graham Lake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zabal Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Corderall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zabal Villanueva in the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John-Graham Lake in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Roberto saved Villadeatese FC from getting behind. Zabal Villanueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Augusto Corderall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmine Di Piazza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 72 played minutes Villadeatese FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Testi. John-Graham Lake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Roberto having to interfere. Augusto Corderall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zabal Villanueva's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. A collision led to Club Atlético Baradero getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Luan Viana hit a great ball. Villadeatese FC made a substitution. Roberto Piccoli replaced Bernardo Cameli. The supporters of Villadeatese FC booed when Club Atlético Baradero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Baradero's goalkeeper Augusto Corderall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zabal Villanueva.
