An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Penha in the 19th minute of play forced Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s goalkeeper Gavino Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes in the game Andrézinho Vaz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Laércio Penha. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laércio Penha to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Rivas to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavino Afonso. That made the score 0-3 after 56 minutes of play. Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Armando Milito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nova Iguaçu MZFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
