Rayland FC's Joel Bertol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Furtado Pellon in the 13th minute of play. Rayland FC's Joel Bertol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Rayland FC from getting a goal against them. Toni Schumacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bannister in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Endrick de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Pablo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Rayland FC defense, Ruben Gay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Bertol. The Rayland FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Bertol should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute Roger Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Schumacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match, Leszek Sidor got a very nice opportunity to score, but Toni Schumacher was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of U21 Venezuela booed when Rayland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selatse Betances didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Pablo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toni Schumacher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Bannister in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute Santo Pablo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Bertol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Furtado Pellon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Venezuela had won after a very even match.
