Millonarios's Augusto Froila got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lajos Toldi having to interfere. Gil do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil do Valle came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Millonarios's Augusto Froila. But to his dismay, Augusto Froila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 37 minutes into the game, Millonarios's Augusto Froila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil do Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 44 minutes into the match, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Gorosti came free, but Gil do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Gorosti, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 47 minutes of play, Millonarios's Melchor Gorosti made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil do Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswaldo Porto made a kick off. In the 58th minute Elias Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute Felipe Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Toldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Maurício Veiga hit a great ball. Oswaldo Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Gil do Valle was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Elias Abancens capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elias Abancens really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Flavio Phelipe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Gil do Valle when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
