The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes Janusze Futbolu got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Tagliafico. 9 minutes in the game Valérien Derm did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cristoforo Volpe. Peter-Michael Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoforo Volpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Janusze Futbolu getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ricard Quaresma hit a great ball. Janusze Futbolu's Peter-Michael Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Răducan in the 22nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Valérien Derm threw the ball into play from the sideline. Janusze Futbolu's Rogerio Oblak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 38 played minutes Janusze Futbolu got a freekick which was hit by Rogerio Oblak. If Cristoforo Volpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Squadra de Pippe's Fabio Bosco was substituted for Nedim Üster. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristoforo Volpe made a kick off.
